第10回FACO学術集会をVirtual（北京）開催

 The 10th International Conference in Shanghai + Virtual

第10回目となるFACOの学術集会は、COVIDの影響で残念ながらVirtual開催となりました（Virtualの基地：北京）。

乳癌・胃癌・大腸癌・肺癌・肝胆膵癌に関して、日中韓の研究者が最新情報を共有しました。

Unfortunately, the 10th International Conference of FACO was held virtually due to COVID-19 (base: Shanghai).

Researchers from Japan, China, and Korea shared the latest information on breast cancer, gastric cancer, colon cancer, lung cancer, and hepato-biliary-pancreatic cancer.

PC-CURE-1 : Oral presentation at the 33rd congress of International Association of Surgeons, Gastroenterologists and Oncologists (IASGO2022)

快晴のイスタンブールにて、33rd congress of International Association of Surgeons, Gastroenterologists and Oncologists (IASGO2022)のオーラル・セッションに、PC-CURE-1が採択され、岡野尚弘先生がその成果を発表。

まだマスクが必須な日本とは違い、現地ではノーマスクがほとんどという事でした。

PC-CURE-1 was selected for the oral session of the 33rd congress of International Association of Surgeons, Gastroenterologists and Oncologists (IASGO2022) in sunny Istanbul, and Dr. Naohiro Okano presented the results.

最終講義

 Last lecture by Prof. Yoshida

FACOの最初の臨床研究であるCONVO-GC1の主任研究者・吉田和弘先生は、3月4日に医学部教授としての最終講義を行いました。ご講演のタイトルは、「Surgical Oncologistのめざすもの ～あっという間の14年8か月に感謝をこめて～」でした。

Prof. Kazuhiro Yoshida, PI of CONVO-GC1, the first clinical study of FACO, gave a last  lecture as a professor of Graduate School of Medicine on 4th March. The title of the lecture was "What the Surgical Oncologist is Aiming for - With gratitude for 14 years and 8 months, in a blink of an eye".

第9回FACO学術集会を横浜にて開催

9th FACO International Conference in Yokohama

晴天の横浜において第9回FACO学術集会（林隆一会長）は10月23日に開催されました。

この日の新型コロナウィルスの日本での新規感染者数は283名、と大きかった第5波に比べ格段に少なったものの、まだ海外来日者をおむかえはできず、中国・韓国からの講演は、Virtualとなりました（一部の日本からに講演者もOnlineでライブ参加）。

中国-韓国-日本の持ち回りで、2013年から毎年執り行われてきた、FACOの学術集会は9年を経て今回で3クールが終わりました。

The 9th FACO Conference (Congress President: Dr. Ryuichi Hayashi) was held on 23rd October in sunny Yokohama.

Although the number of new infections of the new coronavirus in Japan on that day was 283, which was much smaller than the 5th wave, it was still not possible to welcome overseas speakers, and lectures from China and South Korea were held in  virtual format (speakers from some Japan also participated live online).

The FACO Conferences which have been held every year since 2013 in routine of China-Korea-Japan, and 2021 is the 9th years.

CONVO-GC1論文掲載

 CONVO-GC1: online publishing (Annals of Gastroenterological Surgery)

FACOとして、日中韓の研究者が最初に取り組んだ臨床研究、胃癌のCONVO-GC1の論文が、日本消化器外科学会のオフィシャル・ジャーナル「Annals of Gastroenterological Surgery」に掲載されました。

2013年頃にアジアでの共同研究のターゲットを胃癌に決めてから、約8年。ようやく3か国の成果が実を結びました。長い時間を要したものの、その間に行われたたくさんの研究者会合などを経て、アジアで友情は確固たるものとなったのではないでしょうか。

Finally, FACO's first study CONVO-GC1 has been published online in the Annals of Gastroenterological Surgery.

It was around 2013 that FACO targeted gastric cancer as the first international joint study among China, Korea and Japan. 

About eight years have passed since then, and we have experienced a pandemic, but despite of any kind of obstacle, doctors from three countries have never stopped and have continued to move forward.

FACO would like to express its sincere gratitude to all doctors for your contributions to Asian people with cancer and hopes that the collaboration in Asia will continue to deepen.

第9回FACO学術集会

 The 9th International Conference of FACO

2013年に中国・厦門で第1回目が開催されたFACOの学術集会。

今年は、第59回日本癌治療学会学術集会（林隆一会長）に併催され、第9回FACO学術集会が10月23日に横浜（およびVirtual）で行われます。

It was 2013, the 1st International Conference was held in Xiamen, China. This year, the 9th Conference of FACO is held in conjunction with the 59th Annual Meeting of Japan Society of Clinical Oncology that is organized by Prof. Ryuichi Hayashi, Congress President, in Yokohama. 

現在、FACOで進行中の乳がんと膵がんに関し、日中韓の研究者がディスカッションします。

The breast cancer and the pancreatic cancer, that are current study of FACO, are discussed by the doctors from China, Korea and Japan.
