第25回FACOビジネス会合

The 25th FACO Business Meeting

2025年5月30日～6月3日にかけてシカゴで開催されたASCO学術集会。

会期中の6月2日に、第25回FACOビジネス会合が開催されました。

韓国KSMOからのFACO ChairmanのJoon Oh Park先生（KSMO President）、Co-Chair国の中国CSCOからJinming Yu先生（CSCO President）、同じくCo-Chair国の日本JSCOから河野浩二先生（FACO CEO、JSCO国際委員会委員長）他が参加し、今年の9月24日～25日に上海で開催される第13回FACO学術集会に関するアップデート、また、現在進行中の肺がんの日中韓共同研究 Treatment choice for c-Stage III NSCLCに関し、さらなる症例登録の依頼をいたしました。

The ASCO Annual Meeting was held in Chicago from 30 May 30 to 3 June 2025.

During the meeting, on 2 June, the 25th FACO Business Meeting took place.

Dr. Joon Oh Park (President of KSMO), FACO Chairman from Korea, Dr. Jinming Yu (President of CSCO) from China as a Co-Chair country, and Dr. Koji Kono (FACO CEO and Chair of the JSCO International Committee) from Japan, also a Co-Chair country, attended the meeting.

Updates were shared regarding the upcoming 13th International Conference of Federation of Asian Clinical Oncology (FACO), which will be held in Shanghai from 24 to 25 September this year.

In addition, further case registration was requested for the ongoing trilateral collaborative study on lung cancer between Japan, China, and Korea titled “Treatment choice for c-Stage III NSCLC.

Starting around 2023, the ASCO Annual Meeting has offered heartwarming moments with therapy dogs, giving attendees a chance to relax and recharge.

FACOの新しいCEOに河野浩二先生就任

Prof. Koji Kono has been appointed as the new CEO of FACO

10月24日～26日福岡で開催された第62回日本癌治療学会会期中に行われた第24回FACOビジネス会合において、今後3年間のFACOとしてのアクティビティーの方向性が日中韓の三か国で確認されました。

その後の非公式なミーティングにおいて、日本癌治療学会国際委員会委員長である河野浩二先生が西山正彦先生の後任のFACO CEOに就任することが、日中韓のリーダーたちによって決定され、2024年11月1日に正式に河野CEO就任が認められました。

西山正彦先生は、2012年のFACO設立メンバーで初代理事長、また2016年から今までCEOとして、FACOのHQの運営を担っていました。西山先生、本当にお疲れ様でした。

During the 24th FACO Business Meeting held during the 62nd Annual Meeting of the Japan Society of Clinical Oncology in Fukuoka from 24 to 26 October, the direction of FACO's activities for the next three years was confirmed by the three countries: Korea, China, and Japan.

In a subsequent informal meeting, it was decided by the leaders from KSMO, CSCO and JSCO that Prof. Koji Kono, Chair of the International Committee of the JSCO, would succeed Prof. Masahiko Nishiyama as the CEO of FACO. Prof. Kono's appointment as CEO was officially recognized on 1 November 2024.

Prof. Masahiko Nishiyama, a founding member of FACO in 2012 and its first Chairman, has served as CEO since 2016, overseeing the operations of FACO's headquarters. Prof. Nishiyama, thank you very much for your hard work.

 The 24th FACO Business Meeting

神戸開催のJSCO2024大会に併催した第12回FACO学術集会開催に合わせ、24回目となるFACOビジネス会合が開催されました。

現在のFACO Chairmanは韓国KSMOからのJoon Oh Park先生、Co-Chairは中国CSCOからはJin Li先生、日本JSCOからは吉野孝之先生です。

コロナ後、久しぶりの三か国からのChairsがそろい、来年から3年先のFACO学術集会を中国-韓国-日本をルーティンに開催していくことを決定。

The 24th FACO Business Meeting was held in conjunction with the 12th FACO Conference, held in conjunction with the JSCO2024 Conference in Kobe.

The current FACO Chairman is Dr. Joon Oh Park from KSMO, Korea, and the Co-Chairs are Dr. Jin Li from CSCO, China, and Dr. Takayuki Yoshino from JSCO, Japan.

After the COVID-19 pandemic, the Chairs from the three countries gathered together for the first time in a long time, and it was decided that the FACO Academic Conference would be held in China, Korea, and Japan on a routine basis from next year for the next three years.

第12回FACO学術集会

 The 12th International Conference of FACO in conjunction with JSCO2024 Congress

第62回日本癌治療学会学術集会会期中の2024年10月24日と25日に、肺がんと消化器がんをテーマとしてFACOシンポジウムとして、第12回FACO学術集会が開催されました。

日本癌治療学会からのFACO Co-Chairである吉野孝之理事長も講演も。

中国からのFACO構成学会であるCSCO（Chinese Society for Clinical Oncology）より若手研究者が約100名、神戸に派遣され、会場を盛り上げました。

The 12th International Conference of FACO was held on 24-25 October 2024, during the 62nd Annual Meeting of the Japan Society of Clinical Oncology (JSCO2024), as a FACO Symposium with the themes of lung cancer and digestive tract cancer.

Dr. Takayuki Yoshino, FACO Co-Chair from JSCO, also gave a talk.

Around 100 young researchers were dispatched to Kobe from the Chinese Society for Clinical Oncology (CSCO), a FACO member society from China, and they livened up the event.

ACLC2024香港にて発表

香港で10月17日～20日まで開催の2024 Asia Conference on Lung Cancerにて、初日17日の午後５時２分から「Survey on Treatment Choices for Stage III Non-Small Cell Lung Cancer Among Thoracic Oncologists in Asia: A FACO Survey」を堀之内秀仁先生が発表。

発表の前にPre-view meetingとして第4回肺癌研究者会合も開催されました。
